Tips and Troubleshooting

If the arrow isn't firing far, then...

  • Make sure there is a 1-2" piece of glue stick taped to the tip.

  • Make sure to pinch the back of the straw, and keep your hands clear of the rubber band; don't pull back using the rubber band.

  • When releasing the arrow, simply let go of it. Don't try to push it forward.

If the bow is breaking, then...

  • The bow might not be angled enough. If the bow is too straight, then the reinforcements can't form sturdy triangles.

  • Add more reinforcements.
