If the slingshot isn't firing far, then...
- Make sure to grasp the back of the cup with your fingertips. Don't try to grab in your fist.
- Pull back the cup so the rubber bands are stretched evenly.
If one of the dowels breaks, then...
- Reinforce it by overlapping 2 or more new dowels like a splint.
If the rubber bands rip through the tape, then...
- Reattach it with 2 or more layers of tape.
