Project Snapshot

This handheld, sturdily-built slingshot is fun, and powerful enough to launch corks or foam cubes 15+ feet!

Like many of the launcher projects, explore how trusses can reinforce structures and how potential energy can be transformed into far-flung projectiles!

Tips and Troubleshooting

If the projectiles are not firing correctly, then...

  • Release the sling quickly. Avoid letting the sling catch on your fingertips when firing.

  • The sling may be colliding with the crossbar. Remove the crossbar and reattach it an inch lower or so.
